At Koramic Building Chemicals, we not only produce high-quality and innovative products, but also place sustainability at the center of all our business processes, aiming to leave a more livable world for future generations. With our two production facilities and an annual production capacity of 200,000 tons, we lead our sector while remaining fully aware of our responsibility to the future.

For us, sustainability is not a choice but a necessity. Every product we develop and every investment we make contributes both to the development of our country and the protection of our planet. With our environmentally conscious production approach, we are building not only structures, but also the future.

Our Sustainable Production Approach

Efficient use of resources, energy conservation, reduction of carbon emissions, and recycling of waste are among our core priorities at our factories. We employ automation systems that enhance energy efficiency in production processes, invest in technologies that reduce water consumption, and fully comply with legal requirements for the disposal of hazardous waste.

Our Goals for the Future

Looking ahead, we are taking confident steps to reduce our carbon footprint, transition to renewable energy sources, and implement a “zero waste” approach across all our production facilities. We are committed to building a sustainable future that balances environmental, social, and economic considerations.

“Light for the Future, Breath for the Future” Project:

Koramic Forest: Within our project aimed at planting 10,000 trees, we have planted 5,000 trees over four years. Through festivals and events involving all our stakeholders, employees, and their families, we green the area around Bozüyük O.S.B., enhance natural beauty, and promote environmental awareness.

Renewable Energy Project: A significant portion of the energy used in our factories comes from our Solar Energy System (GES). Producing approximately 1,200,000 kWh annually, we significantly reduce our carbon emissions.

Electric Forklifts: We have replaced all carbon-fuel forklifts with electric ones, reducing our carbon footprint and environmental impact. Additionally, through our periodical magazine, Koravizyon, we provide informative articles on sustainability, raising environmental awareness not only within our company but also across the sector and society.

TÜBİTAK 1831 – Green Transformation Initial Support Program

Through this project, we aim to make our environmental responsibility systematic and measurable.

We calculate our carbon footprint according to the ISO 14064-1:2018 standard, determining Scope 1 (direct emissions), Scope 2 (indirect emissions from energy), and Scope 3 (other indirect emissions) values. Based on these analyses, we prepare our Green Transformation Roadmap, planning not only for today but also for the future.

Data management is one of the fundamental pillars of green transformation. By collecting data from our production lines, energy consumption points, and waste units, we monitor and improve our environmental performance. In this context, we have established the necessary infrastructure for data collection and analysis and provide training to our employees.

We implement improvement projects to increase energy efficiency and optimize resource use. To ensure that this process is embraced by all employees, we conduct regular sustainability trainings. We believe that environmental awareness must be deeply rooted not only at the management level but across the entire organization. In addition, we actively pursue joint project opportunities with TÜBİTAK and various universities.
